South Side Irish Parade Store

We’re pleased we have the opportunity to honor Chicago’s first responders as grand marshals of the 2013 South Side Irish Parade. The grand marshal announcement received widespread coverage, linked below:

We thank all first responders and their families for their sacrifice and service.

In addition, the parade’s guests of honor were announced at the fundraiser. It’s been a great year for many of our local schools’ sports teams and we’re pleased to welcome Brother Rice’s Rugby team, Leo’s track and field team, Marist softball, Mt. Carmel’s football, and St Rita’s hockey team as guests of honor at the parade.

Registration is now open for Running Excels‘s Emerald Isle Mile, a one-mile run down Western Avenue on the day of the parade. Sign up today!

The South Side Irish Parade store (10934 S. Western Avenue next to O’Brien’s Pub) is open from noon to 6pm on Wednesdays and from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. T-shirts and other merchandise will be on sale there as well as tickets to any upcoming SSIP events.

January 21st, 2013

There will be a volunteer orientation meeting on Wednesday, January 21st at 7pm at 115 Bourbon Street. A committee meeting will follow at 730pm. Refreshments will be served.

November 21st, 2012

Congrats to Annie Gorman of Marist High School for designing a great new logo for our t-shirts. All the area schools participated in the contest. See Annie’s design and read more about the contest in The Beverly Review.

September 17th, 2012

The Halfway to the South Side Irish Parade fundraiser on September 15th was a success. Read about the event in the Southtown Star.

Halfway to the South Side Irish Parade Party

Join in the start of a new tradition: The Halfway to the South Side Irish Parade Party is the official kickoff event for the 2013 South Side Irish Parade which will be Sunday, March 10th.

The first 300 people to buy tickets on line will be entered in a special raffle to win a personalized Street pole banner (normally $225.00) that will be on display the month of March. You will also get a miniature banner suitable for framing.

The $30 per person ticket includes a great buffet and all of the beer, wine or soda you can drink. There will be raffles, games of chance and performances by the amazing Larkin and Moran Brothers.

All proceeds from the party will go toward the costs of the 2013 South Side Irish Parade.

The next planning meeting for the 2013 South Side Irish Parade will be September 4th, 2012 at 7pm. The meeting will be held at 115 Bourbon Street.
